When the Editor opens, it will check and connect Translation Memories (TM) and Term Bases (TB) if they’re selected. The Database panel will show Change History as well as TM and TB matches if connected.

How to start editing translation

  1. Click on Target cell of a segment to start editing translation. When you entered a segment, the background color changes as shown above.

    <aside> 💡 Yellow-colored words in the Source cell above indicates they’re the terms found in the Term Bases you selected for this job.

  2. Start editing the cell.

  3. When you finished editing, press Enter or Ctrl+Enterand moves to next segment.

    <aside> 💡 Pressing Ctrl+Enter marks the segment Confirmed and ✔ mark will appear on the right hand. This mark indicates that this segment is finished and confirmed.

  4. There may be tags in the Source text. Please make sure that all tags are correctly inserted in the Target text as well. Please refer to “How to add tags” section below.

How to add tags

  1. Place your cursor in front of a word to insert a tag and press F8.

  2. Or, highlight texts to insert a paired tags and press F8.

    F8 key will insert tags in the sequence as they appear in the source segment. Keep pressing F8 until the tag you want to insert appears. And, delete unnecessary tags.

You can also copy tags from source. To copy a single tag, copy a surrounding text together otherwise it may not copy the tag formats correctly.

Auto Propagate Repetitions

Segments that are identical are marked as Repetition. Repetition icons will appear as below.
